Dorothy Strickland Harrison, 77 of 6616 Stoddard Road, Wilmington passed
away, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

Born January 6, 1941 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
William Candler Strickland and Ola Mae Devine Strickland. She was retired
from Cleveland Regional Medical Center as Secretary in the Intensive Care
Unit. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Long Leaf Baptist Church, dual member
of the Camp Call Order of the Eastern Star and Federal Point Order of the
Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert
Harrison; two brothers, William Allen Strickland and Garvis Strickland; a
sister, Betty Hendrick and sister-in-law, Suzie Strickland.

She is survived by her son, Kermit Michael Howard, Jr of Shelby.; daughter,
Kelli Howard-Sims and husband, Brent of Wilmington; four brothers, Kenneth
Strickland of Shelby, Earl Strickland of Candler, Gerald Strickland of
Shelby, and Gary Strickland of Shelby; and two grand-godchildren, Alanna
Brantley and Bennett Brantley of Wilmington.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM in the
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Sisk officiating.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the
funeral home.
