Edgar David "Eddie" Mauney, age 59 resident of Kings Mountain, NC entered his heavenly home on July 11, 2016 at Caromont Health, Gastonia, NC after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kings Mountain, NC to the late David L. Mauney and Betty S. Mauney. He was former General Manager of Mauney Hosiery, Kings Mtn. NC and was employed with Dilling Heating and the Lake Montonia Club. Eddie was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kings Mtn. NC and the Kings Mountain Scholarship Fund Committee. He was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and an avid tennis player. He loved and took pride in being the caretaker of Lake Montonia. Eddie was a wonderful and kind hearted person who was well respected and loved in his community.

Daughter: Sarah Jane Mauney, Raleigh, NC

Brother: Kenneth Mauney, Durham, NC

Sister: Sarah Jane Mauney Rhea and husband Joe D. Rhea, Jr. Kings Mtn. NC

Mother-in-law: Martha Sue Rhea, Kings Mtn. NC

Sister-in-law: Debbie Rhea Walker, Boiling Springs, NC

Nephews: Trenton Rhea and Chad Walker

Niece: Heather Walker White.
