Elbert Thomas Oliver,88, of Kings Mountain, NC, died on August 24, 2018 at his home. Born in Cleveland County, he was son of the late Coon Rod Oliver and Lilla Mae Tucker Oliver and was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Violet Talylor Oliver. He was also preceded in death by brothers W.T. Oliver, Donald Oliver, Charles Oliver, Haywood Oliver, Richard Oliver, Glenn Oliver, Jason Oliver, Ray Bill Oliver, and sisters Patricia Caison, Doris Short, Florance Marlowe, Viola Thrift, Mrs. Hugh Lee Martin, Edith Webb, Willie Bell Freeman, Voyd Hamrick.

Elbert was an Army veteran and very active in the Shriner's. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to flea markets. Elbert retired from FMC Lithium Corp with over 20 years of service. He was a beloved uncle, brother and friend.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, August 28, 2018 3:00 PM at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Terry Floyd officiating

VISITATION: 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home
