Elizabeth "Lib" Bell, age 95, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland. Born in Gaston County on December 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nettie Hayes. She was a great cook and loved serving her community. She most enjoyed volunteering for the soup kitchen and delivering meals. In addition to her parents, Lib is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Douglas Bell, and her brothers Mickey and Robert Hayes.

Lib is survived by her two sons Gary Stephen Bell and Michael Douglas Bell; her daughter Donna Jean Cloninger; her sister, Peggy Star; and two grand-children, Kayla Bell and Jason Cloninger.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. William Troutman officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park following the service
