Elizabeth "Lib" Patterson Hamrick
Elizabeth "Lib" Patterson Hamrick, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on May 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Earl and Cynthia Bowman Patterson. She was retired from Hoechst-Celanese as a Lab Analyst after working for 33 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro where she was an Assistant Sunday School Teacher, member and treasurer of the Senior Citizens Group and served on various committees.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Carroll Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Joe Hamrick; one son, Tony Hamrick of Shelby; one daughter, Teresa Hamrick of the home; one brother, Jack Dean Patterson and wife JoAnn of Shelby; her grandchildren, Heather Bratton and fiancee Brandon Hoffman, Stephanie Elkout and husband Ayman, Bobby Joe Godfrey and fiancee Christy Campbell, Cameron Joe Hamrick and wife Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Tristen Perry, Jada, Kadin, Zaid, Maddox, Layth, and Zoey Elkout, and Isabella Hoffman.
 
A Celebration of Mrs. Hamrick's Life will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, August 03, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro with Rev. Bobby Gettys officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Saturday, August 02, 2014 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
