Ellen Williams Cook

Ellen Williams Cook, 89, of 126 Susan Road, Casar, passed away Tuesday, June
3, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Born September 26, 1924 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Homer Williams and Madge White Williams. She was retired from Fasco as an
assembly line worker and was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Summie
Cook; a son, Arnold Cook; three brothers, Harold Williams, John Williams
and Larston Williams; a sister, Faye Butler and two son-in-laws, Haskell
Shoemaker and Frank Simpson.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Cook and wife, Ruby; David Cook and wife,
Belinda and Jimmy Cook and wife, Jannette all of Casar; four daughters,
Mabellean Simpson of Polkville, Carolyn Shoemaker of Statesville, Joyce
Walker and husband, Johnny of Bessemer City and Clara McEntire and husband,
Kenny of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Betty Cook of Shelby; four brothers, Bill
Williams of Shelby and Bob Williams, Paul Williams and Larry Williams all of
Kings Mountain; sister, Dorothy Grigg of Shelby; 21 grandchildren, 36
great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church
Officiating: Rev. Chris Emory and Rev. Landon Rice
Burial: will follow in Morris Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery
Memorials: May be made to Morris Memorial Baptist Church, 421 Morris Church
Road, Casar, NC 28020.
