Ethel Lemons Warren

Mrs. Ethel Lemons Warren, age 89 of Shelby, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
Born April 8, 1929 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Warren was the daughter of the late Radford and Nancy Roberts Lemons and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carver James Warren, Sr., three sisters, Adrean Evans, Thelma Green, and Margaret Spake, and four brothers, R.L. Lemons, William Lemons, Earl Lemons, and Charlie Lemons.
Ethel was a lifelong member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church where she helped with the Pre-school Children's Sunday School Class also VBS. She worked as a storekeeper at her dad's general store and a Tax Lister in Patterson Springs. Ethel enjoyed gardening, her pets, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Watkins and husband Joe of Shelby, NC, Jamie Johnson and husband Tinker of Lawndale, NC, Jimmy Warren and wife Lisa of Kings Mountain, NC, and Lori W. Warren and husband Darrell of Shelby, NC, grandchildren, Geoffery Wease and wife Rhonda, David Johnson and wife Kim, Jennifer Johnson Melton and husband Josh, Jessica Warren Collins and husband Shawn, Ashley Warren Harmon and husband Jeremy, D.J. Warren and wife Brooke, C.J. Warren, Jacob Warren, Heath Boyles and wife Judy, and Kurt Boyles and wife Jennifer, great grandchildren, Tyler Wease, Lucas Wease, Hayden Wease, Makenzie Johnson, SaraBeth Melton, Maizy Boyles, Jeremiah Boyles, Thomas Collins, and Carver Warren, a brother, Carl Lemons and wife Margaret of Shelby, NC, two sister-in-laws, Betty Lail Lemons of Grover, NC, and Mary Helen Warren of Shelby, NC, a brother-in-law, Nelson Warren of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews and a special pet companion, Sissy.
The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at Testa Family Hospice House and White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain for their loving care they gave Ethel during her stay.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Glenn Walker and Rev. Max Turner. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
