Eugene Franklin Luckadoo
Eugene Franklin Luckadoo, 87, of Ken McEntire Road, Lawndale, went to his heavenly home and was reunited with his loving wife of sixty-five years, Monday, April 9, 2018 at his home.
Born in Cleveland County on November 10, 1930, he was a son of the late John Grady Luckadoo and Mae Belle Powell Luckadoo. He was retired form Catawba Creations in Longview. Eugene was a member of Polkville Baptist Church and former member of East Hickory Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years Irene Johnson Luckadoo, three brothers, Andrew, Monroe and Steven Luckadoo; and two sisters, Sara Dean Chapman and Juanita Fredell.
He is survived by a son, Eric Luckadoo and wife Amy of Hickory; two daughters, Sherry Swanson and husband Gary of Newton and Dawn Beam and husband Mark of Cherryville; brother, Myron Luckadoo of Casar; two sisters, Stella Gettys of Polkville and Emily McKinney of Lincolnton, GA; six grandchildren, Nichole McClintock and husband Daniel, Kimberly Hardin and husband, Nate, Brandon Mayhew; Ashley Hollingsworth and husband Randy; Andrew Luckadoo and wife Susanna and Sarah Luckadoo; three step-grandchildren, Jackie Aubert and husband, Danny, Jenny Beam and Julie Beam; and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Polkville Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be on Friday at 3:00 PM at Polkville Baptist Church with the Revs. Rick Hamrick, Dale Byrd and Jair Escalona officiating.
The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
