Eula Mae Moore, age 89, of Burnsville, NC, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence.
Born June 9, 1924 in Polk County, she was a daughter of the late Jason Hensley and Lauraney Morrow Hensley. She worked for Cone Mills for many years before retirement and was a member of Chase Baptist Church. Eula Mae enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking special care of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Boyd Moore; daughter, Betty Lou Duncan; grandson, Phillip Duncan and four sisters.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Loraine Duncan and William Duncan both of Henrietta and Tracie Duncan of Caroleen; ten great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews which includes her loving caretakers, Julia Higgins and April Gurley both of Burnsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Joe Bennett and Reverend Scott Butler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. A private interment will be held on Tuesday at High Shoal Baptist Cemetery.
