Mooresboro - Eula Ruth Nichols Hollifield, 91, died peacefully at her home on May 18, 2019. She was born November 17, 1927 to the late Asbery William Nichols and Aurora Patterson Nichols. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Scruggs Hollifield one son Henry Joe Hollifield, four brothers James Earl Nichols, Asbery William Nichols James Wesley Nichols and Johnthan Willard Nichols, four sisters Marie Scruggs, Iliene Ferguson, Florance Quackenbush, Mary Hawkins and one great-grandchild Johnthan Greene, and one granddaughter Windy Hollifield
She is missed and survived by her sons Micheal Hollifield (Annie) William (Rene) Hollifield, Doug Hollifield (Pam); two daughters Hilda Bailey and Gloria Fitch Stidham and husband Larry; two sisters Willa Dean Ware (Doc), Carolyn Ware and a special sister-in-law Dorthy Hollifield; grandchildren Micheal Hollifield (Amy), Kenny Hollifield (Jennifer), Kim Greene (Roger), Wesley Shane Bailey (fiancé Jennifer) Candace Orr (Bubba), Gennie Thackerson (Scott), Bobby Gene Fitch, Jr. (Lisa deceased), Chantelle Glover (Ronald) Bobby Stidham, Joleen Radford (David), Robert Hollifield (London), Isac Hollifield, Johnthan Hollifield, Angela Roose (Steve) David Wright; great-grandchildren Justin Greene (Anna), Jake Greene, Lauryn Hollifield, Gavin Hollifield, Jack Orr, JayLynn Orr, Hannah Moore, Emma Wright, Morgan Wright, Andrea Roose, Will Roose, Bryce Lynn Glover, Mathew Thackerson, Andrew Thackerson, Shyanne Ridge (Steven), Alexis Stidham, Austin Radford and great-great grandchildren Jaxson Ridge, Eli Greene, Caden Greene and May Hollifield. Ruth loved all of her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and siblings.
Family and friends of Ruth N. Hollifield are invited to her visitation Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside. A funeral service will be 3pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church with the Pastor Mike Fraizer officiating the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
