Evoid Bynam Chapman, 87, of Marshall, passed away, Tuesday, January 1, 2019
at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville.

Born in Cleveland County on June 24, 1931, he was a son of the late Dennis
Belo Chapman and Pearl Geneva Hull Chapman. He had worked for Hickory
Springs and retired from Drexel Heritage. He was a member of Big Laurel
Baptist Church and loved fishing, camping, hiking and ginseng hunting.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by granddaughter,
Savannah Welborn; great grandson, Andrew Benfield; seven brothers Grady,
Donald, Lloyd, Ira, Gerald, James and Charles Chapman.

He is survived by his wife Bernice Cutshall Chapman; stepchildren, Neta
Harrison, Kathy Beach, Madonna Humphries, and Dean Shelton; three brothers,
Claude Chapman, Junior Chapman, and Carroll Chapman; six sisters, Vangie
Grigg, Madeline Dellinger, Marlene Chapman, Ruth Whisnant, Selma Moore and
Patsy Perry; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Bradley, Ashley, Cassie, Angel,
and Skylar; and seven great-grandchildren, Xavier, Niatta, Shawn, Grayson,
Brook, T.J. and Natalie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at
Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill United
Methodist Church with the Revs. Ken Parker, Nick Coates, Kellen Griffin.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
