Frances Carroll Moffett, 82, went into the arms of our Lord Jesus on Thursday, November 20, 2014. She graduated from Waco High School and Greensboro Women’s College. Frances married Conley L. Moffett of Waco, NC and spent the next 55 years moving from NC to Georgia and finally settling in Virginia. She retired from DOD and spent her later years enjoying her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olin Leon and Irene Marie Davis Carroll; sister, Evelyn Carroll; and brother, Kenneth Carroll, both of Cherryville, NC.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Moffett of Annandale, Virginia; sister, Marjorie Hinkle of Cherryville, NC; brother, William (Bill) Carroll of Little River, SC; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 5725 Castlewellan Drive, Kingstown, VA 22315-5516.
