Frank M. Toney, age 77, of Bostic, NC, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born June 18, 1936 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Greely Toney and Alice Campbell Toney. Frank worked as a carpenter most of his life and was a truck driver for many years. He was a charter member of Ross Hill Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Laura Mae Toney and son, Ray Dean Toney.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Yelton of Bostic and Lisa McCarthy and husband, Bobby of Shelby; two sons, Phillip Toney and Keith Toney and wife, Brandy all of Bostic; sister, Betty Sandefur and brother, Ralph Toney both of Bostic. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Ross Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Wheeler and Reverend Earl Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
