George William Limerick, 83, of Sourwood Lane, Mooresboro, died on Monday, February 17, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on May 20, 1930, a son of the late Charles and Effie Padgett Limerick. He retried from the Asphalt Paving Industry and was U.S. Army Veteran. He liked to watch western movies and listen to country and gospel music. He also loved being with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Alfred, Delano, Perry and Tom Limerick; two sisters, Patricia and Jenny Limerick. He is survived by his wife, Donna Holcomb Limerick; one brother, Johnny Limerick and wife Sandra of Henrietta; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mr. Limerick’s Life will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Neil Murray and Rev. Johnny McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
