Gladys Greene Fowler

Gladys Greene Fowler, 91 of Costner Road, Shelby passed away Monday, October
2, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born September 28, 1926 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Sanka Greene and Sue Wood Greene. She was retired from Dover Yarn and was a
member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles
Flay Fowler, Jr. ; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Mayhew.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Tim Mayhew and wife, Annette of
Lincolnton and Donnie Mayhew and wife, Shannon of Polkville; daughter, Lisa
Mayhew Harrill and husband, Franklin of Lattimore; great-grandchildren,
Brandon Mayhew and Ashley Hollingsworth of Cherryville; Shannon Williams and
Lindsey Sigmon of Lincolnton; B.J. Mayhew, Aaron Mayhew and Kari Mayhew of
Waco, Corey Smith, Storm Smith and Marina Smith of Polkville and Frankie
Harrill and Seth Harrill of Lattimore; great- great grandchildren, Bryson
Sigmon, Jackson Mayhew, Bailey Cline, Conner Williams, London Mayhew, Noah
Hollingsworth, Mason Hollingsworth, Levi Williams, and Paisley Morrow;
brother, Bob Greene and wife, Carolyn of Shelby; and special pet, Annie.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Noon, at Buffalo
Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be Noon on Friday at Buffalo Baptist Church with the
Revs. Max Turner, Jr. and Ernie Blanton Officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
