Glenn Franklin Ross

Glenn Franklin Ross, age 81, passed away January 30th at his residence. Born in Kings Mountain, NC, he was the son of the late Floyd Yates and Jennie Payne Ross. After graduating Kings Mountain High School in 1956, Glenn proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1960. He began his career at NCNB, now Bank of America, and worked for 39 years before retiring. Glenn was a faithful member of First Baptist Church attending the Parlor Co-Ed Sunday School class and served on various committees over the years. Glenn was an avid Tar Heel fan and enjoyed attending games until his health would no longer permit.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by one sister Faye Ross Gladden.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 59 years Linda Callahan Ross, daughter Lee Anne Ross of Charlotte, son David Glenn Ross and wife Tracey of Hillsborough, and two beloved grandsons, Griffin Alexander and Cameron Glenn Ross, brother Jim Ross of Kings Mountain, sisters Ann Ross Wood of Kings Mountain and Beryl Ross Hambright of Grover, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express deepest gratitude to Dr. Daniel Davis, his staff, and Hospice Cleveland County.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00A.M on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Webb Chapel First Baptist Church, with Perry Holleman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM-11:00AM in the Lady's Parlor.
