On Saturday, August 1, the youth of Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church held a fundraising car wash to benefit their youth camping trip. The event was held in the parking lot of Carolina Auto Glass at 408 S. Post Road in Shelby. Youth Leader, Amanda Murray put the event together and was very grateful for Carolina Auto Glass allowing them to use their facilities. The surprise of the day was when a gentleman drove up and gave $100 contribution to the group. Pastor David Murray said: "He didn't even let us wash his car!"
