Grady Sephes Martin, 87, of 1952 Martin Road, passed away Wednesday, July 27th, 2016, at Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill.

Born in Hickory Grove, he was the widower of Hazel Ford Martin and the son of the late Trude Carlton Martin and Mary Etta Pruitt Martin. Mr. Martin retired from textiles and was a member of Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna, where he served as deacon and church trustee.

Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Ronnie Martin and wife, Linda, of York and Randell Martin of Hickory Grove; one daughter, Teresa Gale Martin of Hickory Grove; five grandchildren, Rhonda Devinney, Tiffany Blackmon, Randy Martin, Brandon Martin, and Matthew Martin, and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Addie Martin Bell, Barbara Martin Wray, and Virgie Martin Burns and seven brothers, Boyd Martin, Lloyd Martin, Stephen Martin, Carlton Martin, Dargin Martin, Rev. Joseph Martin, and Charlie Martin.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29th, 2016, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna, 2315 Legion Road, Smyrna, SC 29743. Interment will follow at Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery (Smyrna).
