Mr. Haywood Thompson Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1942 to Haywood and Eunice Allen Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Laura Sue Thompson, a son, Franklin Thompson, two brothers , Bobby and Forest Thompson, two sisters , Aileen Spikes and Doris Thompson.
Haywood retired from Robert E. Lee Construction after 40 years.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, three daughters, Carolyn Williams, Sandra Dowdle (James), a son Timmy Thompson (Angie) of Shelby NC and Pamela Rawls of Newton , NC
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service
The funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Palmer's Grove Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC
Burial will take place at the church cemetery
