Hazel Webber Peace



Hazel Webber Peace, 84, died Friday, Mar. 15, 2014, at her home.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Sulvanus and Barbara Allen Moss Webber.  She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she worked in the newborn nursery for more than 60 years. 

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buck” Clinton Peace; and brothers and sisters, Lucille Webber Moss, Coy Russell Webber, Myrtle Webber Blackburn, Claude Bratton Webber, Leon Walker Webber. 

SURVIVED:  She is survived by her son, Ricky Peace and wife Debbie Allen Peace of Shelby; granddaughter, Christy Lynn Peace of Charlotte; brother and sisters, Wilma Rippy Webber, Fay Webber Clary Killian and husband Bud, Lawrence Avon Webber, all of Shelby; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: 2PM, Monday, at Eastside Baptist Church

VISITATION:  The family received friends Sunday, 3-4:30PM, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her sister, Fay Killian, 1284 Fallston Rd., Shelby.

BURIAL: A private burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg.
