Helen Yancey Walker, 88, of 127 Jesse Mountain Rd., Casar, passed away
Saturday October 28, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Lincoln.

Born July 23, 1929 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph
Clarence Yancey and Sarah Pearl Grigg Yancey. She was retired from Sara Lee
Hosiery and was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church where she taught
Sunday School for over forty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hazel
David Walker; daughter, Debbie Walker; two brothers, Joe Yancey and Gene
Ritchie and two sisters, Ethel Tallent and Dona Walker.

Survivors include one daughter, Kay Walker of Cherryville.

The visitation will be 1:30PM until 3:00PM Tuesday at Olive Grove Baptist
Church.

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Tuesday at Olive Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. Terrill Crump officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
