James "Jim" Aaron Belt, Sr., age 74, of Kings Mountain, NC entered into eternal rest to receive his heavenly reward on July 01, 2017 at the Testa Family Hospice House. Born May 25, 1943 to the late Joseph Wilbert "Bill" Belt and Christine Rector Belt. Mr. Belt formerly served Kings Mountain as a police officer and community servant who was a senior center advocate as well as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who never met a stranger. Mr. Belt was also the former owner and manager of Sam's Food Mart in Gastonia and was also a Gaston County rural police officer.
