James Ronald Wray, age 60 of Oliver Street died December 5, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in York County, S.C. on June 1, 1953 a son of the late James and Frances Dover Wray. James was employed with Mintz Tree Service and was retired from the Doran Dye House and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In additions to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frances Dyer and Eddie Wray.
Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Lamar Wray of Forest City, Shane Wray and wife Amanda of Kings Mountain, a daughter Rhonda Wray of Lincolnton, a brother, Perry Wray of Texas and sisters, Mary Lena Bratton of Cherryville, Lula Ferguson on Indianapolis, Dot Mc Queen of Cherryville, Jimmie Bo Blanton of Shelby and Catherine Willis of Cherryville and six grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, at 2:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Owens officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 – 1:45 PM.
