Blacksburg -- Jerry Wayne Russ, 59, of 590 Antioch Rd., passed away Saturday, July 22nd, 2017, at Wendover Hospice Home in Shelby, NC.

Born in Virginia, he was the husband of Judy Batchelor Wood and the son of Glenn Russ and the late Florine Russ. Mr. Russ was self-employed.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Russ is survived by one daughter, April Deneone Russ of Forest City, NC; two brothers, Mickey Russ and Donny Russ of Golden Valley, NC; one sister, Christine Russ of Rutherfordton, NC; and two grandchildren, Sheridan Francis and Nathaniel Suttle.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Bill Russ.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702.
