Jonath Robert “Jon” Morrison
 Jonath Robert “Jon” Morrison, 61, of Goode Road, Mooresboro, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was born on May 29, 1953, a son of the late Robert Eugene Morrison and Ester Ledford Morrison Luckadoo. He was retired from Allied Casting and was a United States Navy Veteran. Jon was also a man of faith and conviction. Strong, loving, kind, witty, funny, well versed in every topic, an amazing handyman, a farmer, a proud Scottsman. He was everything to everyone. Life was different and unique through his eyes. We will miss him forever. May he rest in peace and may we make him proud as we carry on his legacy.
 
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lee Mayer Morrison; two sons, Gunnery Sergeant Jason Charles Morrison and wife Karen of Camp Pendleton, CA and Robert Eugene Morrison of Ohio; three daughters, Deborah Jean Crawford of Forest City, Elizabeth Morrison Beattie and husband John of Del Rio, TX, and Misty Rain Morrison of the home; two brothers, Willie Fay Morrison of Forest City and Billy Ray Morrison of Iron Station; four sisters, Alda Mae Crump of Lincolnton, Elizabeth Morrison of Mooresboro, Mozelle West of Gastonia, and Gail Swafford of Shelby; his grandchildren, Jonathan Whisnant, Victoria Morrison, Heather Crawford, Jason Morrison, II, Alex Beattie, Karina Morrison, Tyler Beattie and Logan Beattie.
 
A graveside service will be held at 9:00am on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the home, 215 Goode Road, Mooresboro, NC. Online condolences may be offered atwww.mckinneylandrethcarroll.com
