New Eagle Scout, Josh Stevens, gets a congratulatory kiss from a special lady, his Granny!
A ceremony was held for Josh Stevens of Boy Scout Troop 101, on Monday, March 10th, at First Baptist Church in Shelby. Josh completed his Eagle Scout project, which was building and adding an extension of the FFA building at Crest High School. The Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America. At the end of the ceremony, before family, friends and his entire 101 troop, Josh presented gifts and thanks to all those who helped him through his years of scouting. He also made a special presentation to his Granny, Martha Greene. Josh said he always gave her daffodils and because he had just turned 18, this time he gave her thanks and a bouquet of 18 daffodils. After the ceremony, a reception, was held in his honor, for all at First Baptist. Troop 101 serves the Battleground District of the Piedmont Council.
