Joyce Janelle Sailors Huggins

Mrs. Joyce Janelle Sailors Huggins, age 84 of Ellenboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Huggins of Ellenboro, NC, Denise Bridges of Ellenboro, NC, and Nona Parker of Bostic, NC, nine grandchildren, Cheryl Ayala (Gil), Bobbie Ross (Bill), Lisa Blanton (Roy), Eric Nichols (Deanna), London Hollifield (Rob), Brook Wright (Trey), Taryn Evanchuk, Danielle Parker, and Abigail Parker, eleven great grandchildren, Samantha Dixon, Christopher Dixon, Brittany Nalley, Michael Everhart, Dakota Blanton, Tommy Ayala, Sydney Radford, Zoey Nichols, Cierra Ayala, Allyson Nichols, and Sawyer Wright, one great great grandson, and two sisters, Juanita Tindell (Tom) of Harleyville, SC, and Frances Duerr (Ken) of Fort Mill, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born on June 8, 1934 in Cleveland County, Joyce was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles D. Sailors and Ida Mae Griffin Sailors and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Eugene Huggins, two children, Linda Popham and Phyllis Jean Huggins, a brother, J.C. Sailors, and two sisters, Jeanette Connor and Virginia Joanne Annas.
Joyce was a dedicated military wife, mother, and grandmother who loved life and family. She was a two time breast cancer survivor. Joyce was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing with her sisters, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Joyce was a joy to everyone that she met.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Sepaugh. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
