Cherryville - Mrs. Juanita Marcella Eaker Porter, 84, passed away on
Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Porter was born on September 11, 1934 in Lincoln County a daughter of
the late Earl P. Eaker, Sr. and Annie Mae Thomas Eaker. She was a lifetime
member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class. Mrs.
Porter previously worked for Rutherford Electric in Cherryville and as a
bookkeeper for Porter's Landscaping. She also enjoyed traveling the world
and going to McDonald's to meet and eat with her friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles
Porter, Sr. and a son, Charles "Chuck" Porter, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Porter of Cherryville, two
grandchildren, Shannon Porter and Brittany Galloway; five great
grandchildren, Cody Sluder, Shane Cornwell, Ayden Minteer, Aaliyah Ross and
Jarvis Ross, Jr. Also surviving are four sisters, one brother and very
special sister-in-law, Martha Eaker.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at
Second Baptist Church in Cherryville.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at
Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.

Burial will be private.
