Mrs. Julia Thelma Weaver, age 73, of Shelby passed away peacefully at her home on June 12, 2014.  She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Julius Teaton and Avalona Mae Williams.  She was a member of Dover Baptist Church, the Dorcus Sunday School Class, Dover Crochet Club, The Joy Club, former Acteens leader and nursery helper.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Reuben Ealm (R.E.) Weaver; four siblings; her twin brother, Elmer Williams; three sisters, Corrine Hamrick, Linda Carpenter and Anna Mae Ware.

 

Three children survive Mrs. Weaver; Robin Bivins (Randy) of Shelby, Betty Southern (John) of Young Harris, GA, and Donald K. (Don) Weaver (Merita) of Mulberry, Florida.  Also surviving her are four siblings, Mr. Max Herman Williams of Kings Mtn; Lucille Wyte (Jake) of Kings Mtn., Vick Sellers of Kings Mt. and Pauline (Polly) Arrowood of Forest City, NC; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

Services for Mrs. Weaver will be held Saturday at 3:00 P.M. at Dover Baptist Church with the Rev. Ervin Price officiating, burial at Cleveland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Family headquarters will be located at 107 Vickie Drive, Kings Mountain.
