Juliet Yvonne Lemmons Keller

Juliet Yvonne Lemmons Keller, 92, passed peacefully from this life on August 3, 2015. Juliet was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on February 26, 1923. She was the second of seven children born to Gothard Oliver Lemmons and Macie Wilson Lemmons. She graduated from Gaffney High School in 1940. In May of 1946, she married WC Keller, Jr.

She was a gifted artist, seamstress, crossstitcher, cook, and excellent with crafts. She was a leader in the Girl Scouts program for many years and worked with Cherokee County's special needs children. She loved helping 'her girls' achieve success. She was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church and worked with their GA program. She had an abiding love of her savior. Juliet dedicated her life to loving and serving her family and extended family. One of her proud achievements was to successfully walk across Charleston's Ravanel Bridge at age 84.

We thank Elmcroft Senior Living in Bedford Texas, Brookdale Oak Hollow Alzheimer's Center in Bedford, and Grace Hospice in Fort Worth Texas, for their capable and tender care the past year and a half. And we thank Providence Baptist Church in Gaffney for 92 years of fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and one nephew. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Bruce Parris); her son Jimmy; two brothers, Osborne Lemmons and Perry Lemmons (Betty); one sister, Vivian; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Daisy Lou, one brother-inlaw, James; two devoted granddaughters; seven great grandchildren, ten nieces, and four nephews.

The family is available for visits Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at 1515 Overbrook Drive in Gaffney. The viewing will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 1:15pm at Providence Baptist Church in Gaffney with funeral services to follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at the Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Condolences may be sent to Judy Parris at 3016 Pilgrim Place, Bedford, Texas 76021 or emailed to jlkeller92@yahoo.com.

For many years the Keller Family enjoyed trips to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. In lieu of flowers, they ask that you take your family for a picnic (without electronics) to your favorite destination; that you cherish these precious moments together; and that you express your love to each other.
