Jvonne Avery Dimsdale age 61, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Rutherford County, he began working in textiles while still in high school and continued throughout his life. He volunteered innumerable hours to NASCAR legend Jimmy Means working alongside his lifelong friend Bryan "Hippie" Dorsey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jvonne Dimsdale, one sister, Joy Dimsdale Philbeck Owens and a nephew, Joshua Dorsey.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Edwards; mother, Alice Dixon Dimsdale Pearson; one sister, Teresa Dimsdale Dorsey; one nephew, Jason Philbeck; two nieces, Alisa Dorsey and Jessica Owens Brooks; five great nephews and three great nieces.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 1 PM until 4 PM at the home of Alisa Dorsey, 261 Godfrey Road, Forest City, NC 28043. Rev. H. Emerson Kerns will be officiating.
