Kenneth Daryl Clanton, 49, 235 E. Jones Street, Blacksburg, SC, died March 22, 2015, at Gaffney Medical Center, Gaffney, SC. Born in Charlotte, NC, he is the husband of Cherylene Cantrell Clanton and a son of Roy and Beulah Pittman Clanton of Blacksburg, SC. Kenneth was employed in the construction industry. He liked horses, fishing and dogs, but he dearly loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons - Sampson Roy Clanton and Dakota Hoss Clanton both of Blacksburg, SC; two daughters - Teresa Ann Mullinax and Lecreda Cheyenne Clanton both of Blacksburg, SC; three grandchildren - Lelay Mullinax, Gabriel Mullinax and James Clanton; three sisters - Shirley Powell, Cathy C. Moore and Shelia C. Houston all of Blacksburg, SC; and numerous neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers - Mike Dennis Clanton and Roy Preston Clanton; and his grandparents - Sidney and Babe Pittman and Hattie Clanton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at White Columns. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015, 2:00 PM, graveside at Clingman Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Dale Welch officiating. At other times, they will be at the home.
