Mr. Kevin Lemar Black, 49, of Grover, NC passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents,Albert Eugene "Bud" Black and Joyce Hyder; Brother-in-law, Larry Kuykendall.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Kuykendall Black and two sons, Steven and Casey Black of the home; mother and father-in law, Kirk Kuykendall (Carolyn); sister-in-law, Wendy Harmon (Mark); brother-in-law, Pastor Ed Kuykendall (Melissa); one daughter, Brittany Smith; two brothers, Mike Black (Doris) and Sammy Black; one sister, Jeannie Patterson (Steve); several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Born May 11, 1964 in Cleveland County. He was employed by Steelfab Inc., a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, served as Assistant Scout Master of Troop 119 and Crew Leader of Crew 116. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, model cars and most of all he loved gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Bread of Life Baptist Church, 3754 W. Dixon Blvd., Shelby with Pastor Ed Kuykendall and Pastor Dale Welch officiating.
