SHELBY - Lana Denise Allen, age 58, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System Cleveland.

Born August 27, 1960 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Martha Lucille Harrison Allen and Gary Gene Allen.

Lana was a member of New Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Tony Emrich of Shelby; one daughter, Michelle Leonhardt and husband Ronnie of Cherryville; one brother, Gary Allen and wife Amanda of Kings Mountain; and one sister, Lisa Camp and husband Randy of Grover . She is also survived by two grandchildren, Bessie Leonhardt, Chase Leonhardt; one niece, Lacey Allen; three nephews, Christian Allen, Garret Allen, Joshua Allen; and her best friend, affectionately known as her "sister-from-another-mother", Donna Mabry.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at New Camp Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Stroup officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
