Larry Scott Turner, 50, of 1910 Blacksburg Highway, passed away Wednesday, June 25th, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Charlotte, he was the husband of Sharon Turner and the son of Carolyn Turner and the late Daniel Turner. Mr. Turner was an employee of Duke Energy for twenty-eight years and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Turner is survived by a sister, Cindy D. Turner, of Blacksburg; a sister-in-law, Kim Turner, of Charlotte; a niece, Ellen T. Owen and husband, Michael, of Blacksburg; and a nephew, Daniel C. Turner, III and wife, Ashley, of Blacksburg., 

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his father, Dan Turner, a brother, Danny Turner Jr., and a great-nephew, Denny Turner.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 28th, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Memorial services will immediately follow in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel at 4:00 pm with Rev. Bruce Price officiating.

The family will be at the home of Carolyn Turner, 238 Bridges Road, Blacksburg.
