Lee Ray Willis

Mr. Lee Ray Willis, 92, of 1631 Delview Road, passed away on
Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare Systems - Cleveland.

Mr. Willis was born in Cleveland County, NC on September 28, 1923 a son of
the late Charlie Dennis Willis and Laura Blanche Gantt Willis. He was a
retired house carpenter and a member of Mary's Grove United Methodist Church
and enjoyed going on mission trips. Mr. Willis proudly served his country
in the US Army during WWII and was a prisioner of war.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba
Bridges Willis; a son, Stuart Willis; three brothers, Herman, Earl and Colin
Willis and a sister, Clara Wilson.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Willis and Janice
and Ray "Hill" Willis and Iryna; a daughter-in-law, Angela D. Willis all of
Cherryville; six grandchildren and four great grand children; a brother and
sister-in-law Stough and Mavine Willis of Fallston.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 12:45 to 1:45PM at
Mary's Grove United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at
Mary's Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Queen officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military honors by the
Cherryville American Legion Post 100 Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to Mary's Grove United Methodist Church, 1223 Mary's
Grove Church Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
