Lewis Glen Melton, 66, of 102 Davis Road, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, SC on December 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Homer Rome Lowery and Joann Marler Lowery. Glen was retired from PPG Industries and served in the Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Melton.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Denise Newton Melton; three daughters, Faith Newton of Lawndale, Heather Hunsinger and husband, Andrew of Shelby and Meagan Dixon and husband, Derek of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Stanley Lowery of Fallston and Timothy Lowery of Shelby; a sister, Judy Self of Shelby; ten grandchildren, Jordan Newton, Taylor Newton, Lane Pruitt, Corbin Hunsinger, Kaitlyn Pruitt, Madison Marshall, MaKayla Marshall, Elijah Hunsinger, Layla Hunsinger and Raven Hunsinger and one great-grandchild, Aiden Potts.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the home, 102 Davis Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
