Linda Mitcham Dover, age 73 died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at White Oak Manor Kings Mountain. Born in Cleveland County on May 2, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Etters Mitcham. Linda was an active member, when her health was good, of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain. She retired from the Register of Deeds office after 20 years of service. Linda was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Linda enjoyed watching birds, especially hummingbirds and working the roadside market with her husband. Linda was a people person and enjoyed being around others.
Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles E. Dover; a son, Chuck Dover and wife Stephanie of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Robbie, Jessie, Karla and Ruthie; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Matthews Lutheran Church with Rev. Josh Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00am until 11:00 am in the fellowship hall.
