Lloyd Floyd, 74, of 219 Acre Rock Road, Lawndale, passed away Friday, July
22, 2016 at Taylorsville Hospice House.

He was born in Burke County on May 16, 1942, to the late Dewey Ray Floyd and
Octavia Hudson Floyd. He was retired from the furniture industry and was as
member of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Ken
Floyd, Bobby Floyd, Donald Floyd and Walter Floyd.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Ann Walker Floyd, three sons,
James Floyd of Lawndale, Luke Floyd of Lawndale, and Mark Floyd and wife
Jessica of Oak Hill, NC; four daughters, Doris Palmer and husband Jackie of
Lawndale, Mary Keller of Lenior, Shirley Canipe and husband Darrell of
Hickory, and Sarah Punch and fiancee Jason Price of Lawndale; brother, Gene
Floyd of Valdese; two sisters, Ruby Young of Newton and and Pat Andreson of
Hickory; and numerous grand and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Olive
Grove Baptist Church, Casar, NC. Condolences may be made online at

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Oliver Grove
Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrill Crump Officiating.

The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
