Monday, March 31, 2014 10:44 am Lois Chapman Parker, age 93, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died March 27, 2014 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Noah E. Chapman and Myrtha Wright Chapman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Parker; step-mother, Beulah Dixon Chapman;brothers, R. C. Chapman, Johnny Chapman, Joe Chapman, Loyd Chapman; sisters, Madge Hawkins, Rene Bolin, Ruby Smith, Pauline Moss and Mae Grigg. She was a charter member of David Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC where she was a member for 75 years. She served as training union director and Sunday school teacher. She was retired from the textile industry. SURVIVORS: Sisters: Helen Lail and husband Virgil, Shelby, NC; Hazel Graham, Kings Mtn. NC; Brother: Jerry Chapman, Kings Mtn. NC; Sister-in-laws: Patsy Chapman and Patricia Chapman, both of Kings Mtn. NC; Brenda Chapman, Blacksburg, SC; Brother-in-laws: J. V. Bolin, King Mtn. NC and Roy Parker and wife Gretchen, Columbia, SC; FUNERAL SERVICE: David Baptist Church, Sunday, March 30, 2014 3:00 P.M. Rev. Jody Griffin, Rev. Paul Sorrells, and Rev. Rob Craig, officiating.
