Lois was born May 1, 1942 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Carmel Pruett and Mattie Hill Pruett.  She worked many years in textiles for Stonecutter Mills and Burlington Industries and was a member of the East Rutherford Church of God.  She enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Doggett; one son, Grover Doggett and brother, Bob Pruett.

     Survivors include her three sons, Jack Doggett and wife, Jan of Gaffney, SC, Paul Doggett and wife, Angela of Ellenboro and Jeffery Doggett and wife, Lynn of Forest City; two sisters, Dorothy Bridges of Spindale and Janice Brown and husband, Doyle of Rutherfordton; four brothers, Carl Pruett and wife, Lena of Rutherfordton, Charlie Pruett and wife, Diane of Bostic, Billy Pruett and wife, Judy of Spindale and Ray Pruett of Rutherfordton.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17  great-grandchildren and her beloved pet “Lady”.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bill Alley and Reverend Leon Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
