Love Valley Baptist Church Bus Ministry serves community

On the night of June 15, 2016, Missy Jenkins from Gastonia was the recipient of a 2008 Kia Sorrento from the Love Valley Baptist Church of Kings Mountain. The Renaldo Dealership Group of Shelby donated the vehicle to the church to give to a family in the area. The event was part of a three day revival meeting for the families of the bus ministry at Love Valley. The bus ministry is a ministry that brings in families who have no transportation to church.
For fifteen years, Love Valley has served this community through the bus ministry. The bus routes go into ten different areas in the surrounding counties. Each Sunday the workers leave after the morning service to run their bus routes. Due to space limitations, Love Valley has an afternoon service just for their bus riders. While the children are in service with the children's church workers, the bus workers are eating lunch in the fellowship hall. After the services, the buses load up again and take the riders home and make it back in time for the evening service. This revival meeting was held to be a blessing to the families that ride the church buses every week. At the conclusion of the revival meeting Love Valley held a drawing for the vehicle. Mr. Duane Reed and Mr. Jerome Bullock of Renaldo Dealership were on hand to conduct the drawing for the SUV.
