Mahlon "Louis" Strickland

Mahlon "Louis" Strickland, 80, of 111 South Congress Street, passed away Sunday, February 22nd, 2015, at White Oak Manor of York, South Carolina.

Born in Scotland Neck, NC, he was the widow of Louise Strickland and the son of the late Louis Strickland and Bessie Mae Phelps Strickland. Mr. Strickland retired as a machinist and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Mr. Strickland is survived by three sons, Tony Strickland of Clover, Keith Strickland of York and Phillip Strickland of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Juanita Crawford of Blacksburg; one sister, Dorothy Connors of Scotland Neck, NC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest Strickland.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26th, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church 241 Oak Grove Road. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence of Nita Crawford, 199 Mcdaniel Road, Blacksburg.
