Margaret Bidzilya McKillop

Margaret Bidzilya McKillop, 90, of Wheeling, died Oct. 12 after a brief illness.

    A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Lobas Bidzilya and wife of the late William R. McKillop, U.S. Air Force, Ret.

    Marge was a devoted Air Force wife who made a home for her family at duty stations throughout Europe and the U.S.  After retirement, the McKillops made their home in Florida.  Shortly after her husband’s death, Marge relocated to Wheeling and spent the final years of her life in the care of her daughter Barbara.

    Marge’s in-love-with-life personality endeared her to friends everywhere.   She will be remembered for her sparkling eyes, ever-present smile and deep love for family.

    Survivors include a daughter and three sons, Barbara M. Meal of Wheeling; Richard McKillop and wife Alice of Wheeling, William McKillop and wife Judy of Holidaysburg, Pa., and Dale McKillop and wife Gail of Shelby; nine grandchildren, Sean McKillop and wife Annika of Frederick, Md., Erin Armour of Columbus, Ohio; Matt McKillop and wife Molly of Holidaysburg, Michael McKillop of Revloc, Pa., Marc McKillop and wife Krista of Holidaysburg; Kelly Chaykowsky and husband J.B. of Dallas, Tex., Katie Meal of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jordan McKillop and wife Suzanne of Alexandria, Va., and Ian McKillop and wife Kristen of Kernersville; and four great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Christina Auch at 4 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Ascension Lutheran Church, Shelby, followed by interment in the Ascension columbarium.

     Memorials may be made to the Ascension Lutheran Church Columbarium Fund, 300 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, 28150.
