Margaret Grayson Elliott, 83, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
She was born on April 24, 1931, in Cleveland County to the late Cleve Grayson and Docia Spangler Grayson. She was retired from Fiber Industries and was a member of Polkville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Elliott was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Elliott Self and two sisters, Olivia Greene and Mary Howington.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Paxton Elliott, Jr.; son, David Elliott of Shelby; daughter, Karen Elliott and Tom Baxter of Shelby; two granddaughters, Amanda Self and Jessica Travioli and husband, Donavan
and one great-grandson, Braxton Travioli.
Visitation:2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel
Graveside Service: 4:30 PM, Wednesday at Elliott Family Cemetery, Shelby
