Miss Martha Kay Holt, 68, of 111 Harrilson Road, passed away
on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in
Gastonia.
Kay was born in Cleveland County, on October 4, 1945 a daughter of the late
Landrum Paul Holt and Edith Shoemaker Holt. She was a devoted member of
Second Baptist Church in Cherryville and a friend to everyone she met.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob
and Jim Holt and a sister Cathy Holt Leonhardt.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Ann Holt Walker and Jerry
of Cherryville; a sister-in-law, Brenda Holt of Cherryville; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Carolina Care Center of
Cherryville for the care they provided Kay over the years.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:30PM at
Second Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and at other times the family will be
at the home of Ann and Jerry Walker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at
3:00PM at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail and Mr. Chris Kiser
officiating.
Burial will be at City Memorial Cemetery.

Cherryville, NC 28021.
