Marvin Dale Pearson, age 54 of Sunset Dr. died Monday, October 6, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 27, 1960 in Gaston County to Marvin Eugene and Nancy Rabb Pearson of Gastonia. Dale was a truck driver for United American Steel in Charlotte. He loved NASCAR and was a proud owner of two classic cars. Dale loved working on his cars and motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dale was preceded in death by a brother, John Pearson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife and soul mate of 27 years, Billie Jo Hudson Pearson; sons, Chris Pearson (Jody) of Dallas, Brian Pearson (Stephanie) of Ranlo, Eric Raines of Ranlo, Matthew Khamsanhlong (Chrissy) of Mount Holly, Michael Raines of Ranlo, and Andrew Raines of Ranlo; daughters, Heather Lowery (Eric) of Ranlo, and Miranda Davenport of Gastonia; sisters, Denise Ratchford (Mike) of Dallas, and Dawn Hunt (Tim) of Gastonia; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
