Mary Ellen Wingo Greenlee Buchanan, age 71 of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on August 28th 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Webb Wingo and her first husband James C. Greenlee. She is survived by her husband O.G. "Buck" Buchanan, her mother Ruby Wingo, and her siblings Chuck Wingo and his wife Jackie of Monroe, NC, Melba Queen of Grover, NC, Ruben Wingo and his wife Cheryl of Rutherfordton, NC, and Andy Wingo of Shelby, NC. She had 3 daughters, Molly Greenlee Emerson of Shelby, Michelle Greenlee of Forest City, and Mary Anne Greenlee Blanton also of Forest City. Also 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends Saturday Sept. 3, 2016 2:30 to 5:00 pm at 540 Edwards St ext. Rutherfordton, NC. Per Mary Ellen's wishes there will be no services.
