|Mrs. Matha Wilda Bridges, 77, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 at Harris Hospice in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland county, she was born November 28, 1935, daughter of the late Oscar and Ocie Cooper Bridges. She was a faithful and devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Charles Bridges, and one sister, Ruby Laws.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray Bridges of the home; one son, David Bridges and wife Debbie and one daughter, Kathy Hege and husband Joe (Luke) all of Shelby; four sisters, Trib Ellis, Dot Curtis, Marie Hoyle all of Shelby, and Delores Adams of Spartanburg, SC; one brother Forrest Bridges of Shelby; four grandchildren, Josh Bridges, Matthew Hege, Joel Hege, and Laura Hege; one great granddaughter, Hannah Hege.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 to 1:00 at the church the day of the service.
