Maven Barrett Jacobsen Hoyle, 92, Fallston Road, Fallston passed away April 5, 2017 at Testa Hospice House-Kings Mountain.

She was born September, 22 1924 in Cleveland County to the late Lester H. Barrett and Annie Maude Hoyle Barrett. She was a nurse, hairdresser, seamstress and homemaker. Mrs. Hoyle was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years and the father of her children, Henry A. Jacobsen and her second husband of 12 years, Paul A. Hoyle; three brothers, Joe, Ronald and Frank Barrett; one sister, Ann Crotts and step-grandson, Joshua Hoyle.

She is survived by her son, Robert H. Jacobsen and wife, Joye of Plainfield, Illinois; daughter, Patricia Ann Handley of Fallston; brother, Billy Barrett and wife, Anna; four grandchildren, Gina Rochelle Handley Schmitt and husband, Aaron of Renton, WA; Pastor Darel Hank Handley and wife Rachel and their children, Claire Maeve and Grant of Kalispell, Montana; Scott R. Jacobsen and wife, Jill and their children, Leo, Levi and Niko of Elgin, IL and Joshua Jacobsen and wife, Virginia and their children, Katelyn and Jordan of Naperville, IL; step children, Wayne Hoyle and wife, Martha of Raleigh and their children, Jeff Hoyle and wife, Brigid of San Diego and Brad Hoyle and wife, Caroline and their daughter, Katie of Raleigh and Jerry Hoyle and wife, Ann of Matthews, NC and their daughter, Leah Hoyle also of Matthews, NC

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Friday at 7:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Welch officiating.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
